The Qualcomm’s flagship chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen1 is getting few updates and changes and will be launched at the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus. According to the rumors the TSMC’s 4nm fabrication process is adopted in the making of new SD 8 Gen1 Plus chipset; whereas in the last year flagship the Samsung’s 4nm process was used. A recent report stated that the SD 8 Gen1 Plus carries the model number SM8475. The primary core of the chipset is expected to be Cortex X2 with 2.99 GHz frequency. The core configurations are expected to be 1 + 3 + 4. Other than this the process will be having three Cortex A710 cores and four Cortex A510 cores. A few marginal upgrades are also expected on the GPU of the chipset. It has been a while that the company has been working on their Snapdragon 7 Gen1 chipset. On the May 20h the 7-series chipset will be debuting. What to expect from the 7-series chipset are yet to be known,. As it is the first model of the series nothing can be expected as what changes are being made in comparison to its first model nor anything has been disclosed about it. The processor of the Snapdragon 7 Gen1 will be having the CPU including four performance and four efficiency cores. The rumors suggest that the debuting Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 will have ARM Cortex A710 and Cortex A510 cores clocked at 2.3GHz and 1.8GHz respectively. Furthermore, it has been rumored that the processor will be coming with an integrated Adreno 662 GPU. Great performance is expected from the SD 8 Gen 1 Plus, as its predecessor is the most powerful chipset of its time. Whereas the SD 7 Gen1 is the first of its series, it does not have any milestones to cross or any expected lags to fill-up from the earlier chipset.
